DESCRIPTION:Thursday, August 4: 12:00-1:00pm\nPlease join us virtually on Thursday, August 4 from 12:00-1:00pm for the inaugural workshop in our Jefferson Votes Lunch and Learn Series: Promoting Nonprofit Voter Engagement. Our panel of speakers, including Ken Regal, Executive Director of Just Harvest and Samantha Balbier, Director of the Institute of Politics (IOP) at the University of Pittsburgh will share why voter engagement work matters to the community. Through their own experiences, they will discuss how preserving democracy requires civic involvement and how voting increases our public policy influence and impact. Attendees will also learn about the resources available through our Jefferson Votes initiative, including a webpage of information for voting readiness and a toolkit of materials to support your organization’s voter engagement efforts.
