DESCRIPTION:Thursday, September 18, 2025\n9:00 AM – 11:30 AM at the Commonwealth Charter Academy (162 East Bridge Street, Homestead, PA 15120).\nPlease join us on Thursday, September 18 from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM at Commonwealth Charter Academy (162 East Bridge St, Homestead, PA 15120) for the next Jefferson Community Collaborative meeting.\nWe’ve heard clearly from nonprofit partners about the growing needs of residents, the declining availability of resources and the increasing importance of civic engagement. In response, this meeting will explore effective, nonpartisan approaches to voter engagement, highlighting how organizations empower and elevate community voice. We’ll also introduce the Collaborative Message Board, a new platform inspired by partner discussions for sharing events, requesting support and exchanging resources.\nThe meeting will include:\n\nA panel discussion with nonprofit partners on strategies for nonpartisan voter engagement.\nAn interactive session, Listening In, Speaking Out, where partners discuss the Message Board at their tables and report back to the group.\nFoundation updates, including grantmaking, data, communications, and welcoming new Vision Council members.\nPartner-led community shares, resource announcements, and opportunities to connect.\n\n \nPanelists scheduled to attend:\n\nRuth Quint, Co-President & Webmaster, League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh\nKhara Timsina, Executive Director, Bhutanese Community Association of Pittsburgh\nRandi Vega, Community Engagement Manager, Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh\nDr. Jasiri X, Founder/CEO, 1Hood Media\n\n \nParking is accessible in the lot outside of Commonwealth Charter Academy across from Barnes & Noble in the Waterfront.
