Comprise the Jefferson Collaborative
The Collaborative brings together change-makers to positively impact the health and vitality of Pittsburgh’s South Hills and Mon Valley communities. Hosted and staffed by Jefferson Regional Foundation, the Collaborative provides a platform for networking, connection, collaboration, and learning opportunities among local organizations.
Local organizations serving Pittsburgh’s South Hills and lower Mon Valley communities have long sought an opportunity to gather, network, learn, and collaborate towards improving quality of life in the Jefferson region. In 2015, The Jefferson Collaborative emerged to fulfill this vision. Drawing from the energy and enthusiasm of numerous local groups who attended the Jefferson Regional Foundation’s first annual spring forum conference, The Jefferson Collaborative has since grown into an active network of 100+ community-serving organizations invested in a shared mission: to bring together change-makers to positively impact the health and vitality of communities south of Pittsburgh. What Do We Do?
The Jefferson Collaborative strives to create agile, healthy, and sustainable communities for diverse populations throughout the Jefferson region while serving as an incubator for powerful ideas and promising practices; improving the capacity of community-serving organizations; and facilitating collective action that advances community aspirations.

ACTIVITIES & INITIATIVES
The Jefferson Collaborative convenes throughout the year, hosts smaller action teams to develop grassroots solutions to community challenges, and offers capacity building and skill development opportunities for member organizations. Leadership is provided by a Vision Council representing the diversity of organizations, leaders, and populations in the area.
