Community Rules for the Jefferson Community Directory and Collaborative Message Board
Visit with the University of Pittsburgh’s Communication Van on the first Thursday of every month to receive FREE hearing testing!
Communication Van staff will help you with:
- HEARING SCREENINGS: staff will perform a 5 minute hearing screening to determine if you have hearing loss
- HEARING TESTS: If you do not pass the hearing screening, staff will offer to preform a comprehensive hearing test which will determine the type and severity of your hearing loss
- HEARING AIDS: The Communication Van offers FREE hearing aids to those who need them
- FOLLOW UP CARE: Hearing aids sometimes break, need adjustments, and need professional cleaning. Staff can perform all of these services in the van!

HSCMV has plenty of free parking on site, and is located on PRT and Heritage Community Transportation bus lines.
