Program Description

Cancer Bridges offers free, comprehensive programs to support individuals and families impacted by cancer, including those diagnosed, their loved ones, and caregivers. From short-term counseling and support groups to creative expression and wellness activities, our services foster emotional resilience, social connection, and overall well-being. We meet members wherever they are in their cancer journey—whether newly diagnosed, in treatment, post-treatment, caregiving, or grieving.

Our core offerings include:

Counseling & Support Groups – Short-term individual/family counseling and over 20 diagnosis- or experience-specific support groups led by mental health professionals.

Creative Expression – Art, writing, and other classes to relieve stress and build connection.

Education & Wellness – Expert-led sessions on clinical trials, mental health, nutrition, and more. Activities such as yoga, Reiki, massage, and meditation promote overall mind-body health.

Community Connections – Legal aid, financial education, self-care resources, and more through local partnerships.

Family & Youth – Therapeutic support for children, teens, and families impacted by cancer, led by a Child Life Specialist.

Social Events – Year-round gatherings foster joy and connection, including Thanksgiving Dinner, Celebrating Survivorship, and Remembrance Night.

Specialized Programs:

Living Life Post Cancer Treatment® – Nine-week workshop for recent survivors.

Happy Feet – Seven-week series on wellness pillars and physical activity.

Let’s Get Moving – 1:1 and group movement/nutrition consultations.

Moving Through Grief – A ten-week group for those grieving a cancer loss.
