For 40 years, Just Harvest has served as a leader in the fight for a more fair, sensible, compassionate, and effective public response to hunger. Our direct services help families struggling to keep food on the table access nutrition now, while our policy advocacy efforts invest in long-term solutions. Our work focuses on advocating not just for the immediate needs of people who experience hunger, but also on strengthening and protecting the programs that ensure sustainable access to food for all. Our services – provided to Allegheny County households for FREE – reduce hunger by boosting income and access to healthy food: – SNAP & More: Just Harvest helps hundreds of eligible families apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, LIHEAP and medical assistance each year. Interpretation services available for Free Tax Prep and SNAP help.

– Case Advocacy: Our team helps families who are having trouble applying for or receiving SNAP, LIHEAP, or other benefits through the PA DHS.
– Free Tax Prep: From January to April each year, Just Harvest provides free IRS-certified tax preparation assistance to low-income Allegheny County households.
-Fresh Access: Our program enables customers to shop with food stamps/SNAP using their ACCESS/EBT card to purchase a variety of fresh produce, baked goods, meat, and dairy products.Organization Contact Information
