Mon Valley Unemployed Committee
The the Mon Valley Unemployed Committee (MVUC) assists workers having problems getting Unemployment Compensation benefits. Through our hotline, MVUC staff advises unemployed people on how to apply for and keep those benefits while looking for new employment or recovering from illness or injury and returning to their previous employment.
Recognized by the state Unemployment Compensation system as qualified advocates for claimants, the MVUC staff can often address problems directly without requiring appeals by claimants. If an appeal is necessary, the Mon Valley Unemployed Committee has experienced staff that will advise and represent unemployed people who were initially denied benefits.
