Greetings nonprofit leaders:
We invite you to join us for a new collaborative virtual meeting series focused on federal policy shifts and how we can work together to protect and strengthen our communities.
The Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO) and The Pittsburgh Foundation launched the Nonprofit Federal Policy Response Network (NFPRN) as a response to the need for guidance and support amidst the shifting federal priorities and polices impacting nonprofit organizations located in the ten counties of the southwestern PA region. Via Zoom, each 2nd and 4th Friday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., the NFPRN provides an opportunity to:
- Learn about emerging federal policy changes and their impact on our region and the nonprofit sector
- Acquire tools and resources to help adapt to the changing landscape
- Explore opportunities for regional action through advocacy and collaboration
The primary goal of NFPRN is to fully support nonprofit leaders as they strive to serve their communities during these unprecedented times and mobilize our collective voice.

Our next session will be on August 14th. We will be joined by Colleen Young, the Director of Government Affairs with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to discuss changes to SNAP and opportunities for advocacy and actions to address food insecurity. We will also hear experiences in the field from local food bank partners.
