The Carnegie of Homestead uplifts and improves the lives of youth, families and the elderly, and serves as a community activity center for many individuals, families and groups in our region. A variety of activities for youth including Stem based science, toddler story times, arts and crafts for young children and parents, literacy outreach and book distribution to 30+ local preschools and daycare centers. The children’s area is equipped with open programs and areas for children to interact with books and toys and the teen area is equipped with desktop computers. A tutor is available for homework assistance for all grade levels. The teen tech zone located in the downstairs maker classroom with college-level computer programming, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts, Math) projects including robotics.
