Jefferson Votes Initiative
Jefferson Votes is a nonpartisan civic engagement initiative spearheaded by nonprofit partners of the Jefferson Regional Foundation.
Through the Jefferson Community Collaborative, which is an investment of the Foundation, nonprofit stakeholders and Foundation staff have developed resources for the purpose of encouraging increased voter participation. Informed and active voters are critical in working to increase the health of communities.
The objective of the Jefferson Votes initiative is to leverage local organizations as trusted community resources to achieve the following outcomes:
Offer resources to community partners to promote voter registration and participation within the communities served by Jefferson Hospital.
Increase confidence and access to the voting process.
Raise enthusiasm and engagement in the region in the civic process to promote a more inclusive community and equitable access to resources.
Through the Jefferson Votes initiative resources and a toolkit are available.
